During the course of your employment, you may come into contact with customers/clients at their own premises and/or visitors to Reprotec UK’s premises.
It is important that you present a professional image having regard to appearance and standards of dress and are required to be neat, clean, and tidy while at work, whether working on our premises or elsewhere.
It is a requirement that you must present a positive image of Reprotec UK and are not entitled to wear casual dress unless the situation allows.
It is a requirement of Reprotec UK that all site-based employees wear their dress uniform for travel and site-wear and PPE for site work. This is a health and safety requirement, and any breach may result in disciplinary action.
Reprotec UK will replace uniforms damaged due to normal wear and tear free of charge. You will be responsible for the cost of replacement should replacement be necessary as a result of your own negligence.
You agree that on termination of your employment, should you not return your uniform, or should your uniform be returned in an unsatisfactory condition, the cost of replacement or a proportionate amount of this, as decided by Reprotec UK, will be deducted from any final monies owing to you, or you will otherwise reimburse Reprotec UK.
It is a requirement that smart, sensible clothes or the provided uniform and sensible footwear are appropriate for the work that you perform, and which also present a neat, clean and professional appearance.
If you have been issued with a uniform, overalls or any attire provided by Reprotec UK, these must be worn accordingly. Any uniform provided must be returned upon termination of employment.
The requirements of particular faiths to wear specific types of clothing or to dress modestly will be respected so long as the item of clothing does not pose a hazard to the health and safety of employees, does not contravene any reasonable and legitimate requirements of Reprotec UK, and does not have a negative impact on any other person.
If you have any queries regarding the dress code, you should seek advice from your Line Manager.
MINIMUM WASTE
We maintain a policy of ‘minimum waste’ which is essential to the cost-effective and efficient running of our organisation.
You are able to promote this policy by taking extra care during your normal duties by avoiding unnecessary or extravagant use of services, time, energy, etc. The following points are illustrations of this:
● handle machines, equipment and stock with care;
● turn off any unnecessary lighting and heating. Keep doors closed whenever possible;
● ask for other work if your job has come to a standstill; and
● start with the minimum of delay after arriving for work and after breaks.
DAMAGE AND FAILURE TO OBSERVE RULES
The following provision is an express written term of your contract of employment:
● any damage to vehicles, stock or property belonging to Reprotec UK or to that of customers/clients, other employees or the general public that is the result of your carelessness, negligence or deliberate vandalism will render you liable to pay the full or part of the cost of repair or replacement; and
● any loss to Reprotec UK that is the result of your failure to observe rules, procedures or instruction, or is as a result of your negligent behaviour or your unsatisfactory standards of work will render you liable to reimburse to us the full or part of the cost of the loss.
In the event of failure to pay, we have the contractual right to deduct such costs from your pay.
