These must be kept in good working order at all times. Substandard or worn equipment must be replaced immediately. This is achieved by informing the Contracts Manager.
You are responsible for the safekeeping and proper use of the PPE.
If you become aware that the equipment may be faulty, it is your responsibility to immediately notify the Reprotec UK in order that it may be replaced.
Reprotec UK will replace equipment damaged due to normal wear and tear free of charge and will ensure that it meets current safety standards. However, you will be responsible for the cost of replacement should replacement be necessary as a result of your own negligence.
Should an individual member of staff require bespoke PPE owing to a medical condition or disability, they must alert the Director of Operations in the first instance.
You agree that on termination of your employment, should you not return your PPE or should your PPE be returned in an unsatisfactory condition, the cost of replacement or a proportionate amount of this, as decided by the Company, will be deducted from any final monies owing to you, or you will otherwise reimburse Reprotec UK.
Failure to follow these procedures may also, after formal investigation, lead to Reprotec UK taking action against you under the disciplinary procedure.
Should a site worker prefer to purchase their own safety boots or shoes, permission must be sought from the Contracts Manager or Director of Operations, to ensure that the item required conforms to H&S and uniform requirements.
For reimbursement, the member of staff must complete an Expenses Form and send this along with a VAT receipt to accounts@reprotec.uk.
